DIT-MCO International will leverage its expertise in wire harness testing to support the Minuteman III life extension program. Under a four year contract, DIT-MCO will participate in a cooperative effort with Boeing and other contractors to develop a modern wire integrity test program for the Minuteman missile.
Boeing is one of three principal contractors to Northrop Grumman, the prime integrating contractor on the Minuteman program. Boeing provides weapon and ground systems sustainment including weapon system test and hardware replacement activities needed to keep the Minuteman system viable for the foreseeable future.
The project requires wire harness testing including dielectric and shield integrity tests with equipment adhering to military standards for safety, operation and EMI. Specialized equipment and adaptation will be provided for each missile cable set. Full testing and documentation will prove the compliance of the test equipment to all applicable military standards.
“Boeing has very high standards for us to maintain on this program,” stated Gary Mullins, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for DIT-MCO International. “The Minuteman III program demands the highest reliability and we are proud to be a part of the Boeing team.”
