Electronic Test Engineer

Summary Position
As an Electronic Test Engineer, you will collaborate closely with design engineers to identify critical characteristics of electronic boards, assemblies, and systems. Your responsibilities will include developing comprehensive test plans to evaluate the performance of these electronic components and systems against predefined parameters. You will conduct testing procedures according to the established plans, meticulously documenting and managing test records. Additionally, you will work alongside design engineers and other team members to identify and rectify any errors, bugs, or issues uncovered during testing processes, ensuring the integrity and functionality of the final product.
Responsibilities:
- Works with design engineers to identify key characteristics of electronic boards, assemblies, and systems, and correct errors, bugs, or issues identified during testing.
- Develops test plans to verify the performance of electronic boards, assemblies, and systems against key design parameters and characteristics.
- Tests electronic boards, assemblies, and systems using test plans. Document and maintain test records.
- Organizes and maintains lab equipment. Add new capabilities as required to meet new design testing requirements.
- Rigorously test electronic equipment and boards using company and third-party software.
- Diagnose and isolate malfunction to component level with the use of schematic and troubleshooting guides.
- Performs rework and updates software to the current version.
- Debug circuit boards.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or two plus years of experience in electronic testing and design.
- US. Citizen
- Competent in using common electronic test tools such as oscilloscopes and full-featured digital multimeters.
- Mastery of soldering on electronic assemblies.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Proficient in reading and understanding multi-page PCB-level schematics.
- Skilled at performing component-level testing and troubleshooting.
- Good and/or corrected vision and can distinguish colors.
- Lifting, bending, walking, ability to sit or stand for long periods.
- Mobility and full dexterity
- Capable of functioning in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines, working multiple job functions, and dealing with stressful situations.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
